Hi, Irene.

Reading this blog brought back wonderful memories of those outings at Will Rogers park with our parents and the children. Once we watched a polo match and we used to go to the stables to feed the horses apples. I think we brought deli sandwiches with us but have no recollection of the food. I just remember how pretty it was and how we just enjoyed sitting and talking and not doing very much. I know mommy and daddy loved it there and it is so sad that those days are now only memories. But at least we have them to remember.

You will have to do something fun with Norman and skype with the kids on Mother’s Day. There will be many more when they will be with you.

We also went to Rancho some years. IT is so easy and now I would add other things. All of the stores on Sawtelle sell the tins and if you go can you pick up some extra for me??? We can make them together Friday afternoon if you like??

If I did not know better I would think we were brought up in the same house. We often went to Will Rogers Park to watch the polo matches. When we did not picnic there it was at Rancho Park. Thanks for sharing this recipe. If I can easily find the ingredients,maybe I will make it this weekend. Happy Mothers Day to all whether your kids are physically with your kids or not,
